Giveaway: The Madness Underneath

The Madness Underneath Maureen Johnson is one of the leading ladies of young adult fiction.  Her newest novel, the second in the Shades of London series, comes out on February 26th.  THE MADNESS UNDERNEATH is creepy, exciting, romantic, and heartbreaking.  It's just as good as THE NAME OF THE STAR.  If you like ghosts, London, boarding schools, and/or realistic depictions of trauma, you'll love it.  If you don't believe me, here's your chance to win a copy and try it out for free.

I have one ARC to giveaway to someone over 13 with a US address.

  1. Why do I want to win? Because Maureen Johnson is AWESOME, that's why!:) No, I LOVED The Name of the Star. I was thrilled to see Johnson successfully cross over from Contemporary to Paranormal. And who doesn't find themselves fascinated with ghost hunters and Jack the Ripper??

    Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!

    1. That's a great reason!

And she's actually crossed over into paranormal before with DEVILISH. (Coming out soon with a new cover!)

  2. I've never read anything by this author, but I've heard great things about her. Plus: creepy boarding schools? Who doesn't love that kind of stuff?

    1. Actually, the boarding school is pretty normal. It's just that some creepy stuff happens there.

  3. I want to win because I ADORE this series to the point of drawing an entire nine-page fanart manga of Stephen and Rory. I got an ARC of The Name of the Star because my roommate is a Librarian and attended ALA, so I've been waiting FOREVER for the sequel. It's become unmanageable the past week or so. I can't even concentrate on writing my own book. :/

  4. I want to win because I fell in love with The Name of the Star, and I even used it for my English project (we had a character party, and I chose to be Rory). The plot is very engaging, and I love MJ.

  5. The Name of the Star was one of my favorite books in 2011, and I can't wait to see where Rory's story goes next. I have some thoughts, but I'm probably wrong - Johnson is good at twists and horror! Thanks!

  6. I seriously love "The Name of The Star," and i'm supposed to be studying Biology and all that good sciency stuff - but instead I find myself searching everything I can about the sequel to this book and OH GOSH IM TOTALLY SCREWED. ... Buuut anyways, I love the mystery of the book - it really made the story fun to read, and the fact that it is set in London is all kinds of awesome. Rory is a fun character, she's funny and definitely keeps things entertaining through the less actiony bits. I can't wait for the release and I love this your blog and this giveaway!!
