Summer in the City Essentials giveaway!

I am currently enjoying my first real, out-of-state vacation since I started working.  It's been a great deal of fun to get out and about (while staying hydrated and coated in sunscreen, of course).  Things started a bit rough (thanks for ruining my suitcase during your search, TSA!), but everything has been fun since then.

I have a special giveaway to make your summer a fun, too.  I have one a Summer in the City Essentials kit, inspired by the Fifth Avenue Trilogy, to give away.  I reviewed this trilogy by Maisey Yates, Caitlin Crews, and Kate Hewitt, over on The Good, The Bad and the Unread.  This kit includes a variety of beauty and fashion products from brands such as Juice Beauty and Nyx.

Special thanks to Harlequin and Meryl L. Moss Media Relations for providing the prize.  Must be 13 years of age or older to win, have a US address, and no PO boxes.

Mini-March Interview with Shannon

Today's guest is really special: Shannon writes Flight Into Fantasy, but she also writes for TGTBTU. She's funny and a fellow Rob Thurman lover.

1. When is your birthday?

Jan. 19.

2. When did you start your blog?

I've been blogging on and off since about 2002. I started on livejournal as an emo teenager and eventually grew into the weird, ditzy space cadet I like to think people know and love. My current iteration of my blog was started in early 2008, but I took almost a year off to concentrate on reviewing for TGTBTU. Now I'm back on my own blog because I like having my own sandbox in which to play.

3. What's your favorite month and why?

Hmm. I have honestly not given this subject any thought at all. I suppose I'll say December, because I love the holidays and all the stuff that goes with them.

4. What do you like about March?

March is SPRING BREAK! You do not have any idea how ready I am for spring break. Well, no, I suppose you actually do, don't you?

5. What March book release are you most excited about?

I never pay attention to book releases months in advance, and so I have no clue what's going to be coming down the pike. I will say that I want Mark Henry's Road Trip of the Living Dead in a bad, bad way. But that's technically a February release.

Liviania's Best of 2008

My one hundredth post and I'm spending it on a link elsewhere. But really, you can find my Best of 2008 list here on TGTBTU. This is books that were published in 2008 and (aside from PAPER TOWNS) I read in 2008. I feel bad since I still have a number of 2008 books I'm sure I'm going to love left to read.

What I really want to know is . . . should I do a Worst of list?

I've been working on a short essay for this blog, but the weekend derailed it. Yay for the neighborhood dogs going crazy, mine with them! (Not.)

Bingeaduckia!

The Good, The Bad, and The Unread has teamed up with The Book Binge to bring you Bingeaduckia. Click on the picture to the right to be taken to the games and prizes!

You can find an introduction at both sites.

You can also begin working on the Scavenger Hunt, hosted by Rowena.

The ladies at both sites have put a lot of work into this event, so go forth and have fun!

I know my blog is aimed more towards the YA community than the romance community, but it's all a community of book lovers. And what could be a better time to come together than just before the holidays?

Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night

My review of WICKED DEEDS ON A WINTER'S NIGHT is available at TGTBTU. My romance reviews will now be written for and hosted on The Good, The Bad, and The Unread rather than In Bed With Books. I will try to put a notice here when one goes up, just to help ya'll out. For those who haven't visited TGTBTU, it's a wonderful site with a wealth of contests and exclusive excerpts.
