Denise Jaden's sophomore novel NEVER ENOUGH releases today. I've been looking forward to this release since I enjoyed her first book, LOSING FAITH, which I reviewed in 2010. To coincide with the release of NEVER ENOUGH, Jaden made a short video of young adult authors sharing when they felt like they weren't enough. Beth Kephart recently posted about book trailers, and I think a video like this that is relevant to but independent of the book being promoted is more interesting than a traditional book trailer. What do you think - about book trailers, this video, or the need for self-esteem?
Ohh, I love that this is different from regular book trailers too! It's so sweet and inspirational how so many authors took the time to share a bit about what they felt like as a teen. :) It's so easy to feel like you aren't enough, and I LOVE how they address it here.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing this, Liviania! :) Super excited to read this book <3
It's definitely a good message shared well.
DeleteThis is such a lovely trailer <3 I really want to read this book because I feel a lot of teens think they're not good enough once in a while and I think a lot of us don't have enough self-esteem!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Liviania, it was interesting to hear the authors talk about this issue!
I think even people out of their teens have trouble feeling like not enough sometimes.
