Rachel Vincent's MY SOUL TO SAVE has been out for a few weeks now, so some of ya'll might've already got your hands on it. (If you haven't read the first book, you can sample the series by reading the prequel MY SOUL TO LOSE.) But this is a chance for three of my readers to win a copy of the novel.
Book 1 of The Soul Screamers series -- MY SOUL TO TAKE -- was released this past summer, and readers found out why Kaylee Cavanaugh screams bloody murder when someone’s about to die.
In Book 2 – MY SOUL TO SAVE – when teen pop star Eden croaks on stage and Kaylee doesn’t wail, she knows something is dead wrong. She can’t cry for someone who has no soul.
The last thing Kaylee needs right now is to be skipping school, breaking her dad’s ironclad curfew and putting her too-hot-to-be-real boyfriend’s loyalty to the test. But starry-eyed teens are trading their souls for a flickering lifetime of fame and fortune in exchange for eternity in the Netherworld—a consequence they can’t possibly understand.
Kaylee can’t let that happen, even if trying to save their souls means putting her own at risk.
Soul Screamers: The last thing you hear before you die.

Since the Grammys were last night and MY SOUL TO SAVE involves a pop singer, I'm going to ask for a comment about album of the year. Do you agree with Taylor Swift's Fearless win? Or did you prefer Lady Gaga (The Fame), Beyonce (I Am . . . Sasha Fierce), The Dave Matthews Band (Big Whiskey and the Groogrux King), or the Black Eyed Peas (The E.N.D.)?
For two bonus entries, link to the contest from your blog/Twitter/MySpace/etc.
The three winners will be announced in three weeks, on February 15th.
(US addresses only, I'm sorry. But you can totally have a friend in the US ship it to you!)
I totally agree with Taylor Swift's FEARLESS win!!!

I personally think the The Fame should have won. But Fearless was a pretty good album. I just liked Lady Gaga better because a lot of songs on her album were really good and I listened to them quite often. Taylor Swift's Fearless album...it was okay, there were a few really good songs. The same goes for Beyonce; a few good songs but not as good as The Fame.

I think Taylor Swift did a good gob with fearless and I'm defiantly happy that she wan though Beyonce was good too

I'm glad she won but I would have picked The Black Eyed Peas take it! tWarner419@aol.com
ReplyDeleteNo need to enter me, darling. I'm dropping in to say thanks for the e-mail. I've posted this at Win a Book.
ReplyDeleteAs for the Grammys... well, I don't listen to popular music anymore. I don't like it. So I can't comment on the best album winner.
Cool. I'd love to read it.
ReplyDeleteBut as to the album - I like what my sons like, but that's rarely indicative of what other people like.
I not at all a country music fan but I am glad she won. I do think she is a good singer.

Oh yeay! Enter me! I have to say that I actually kind of like Taylor Swift for some reason but I still enjoy Lady Gaga so I have a hard time deciding which. In terms of creativity Gaga would win but when it comes to being musically skilled in vocals, volume and key or tone then I can understand why Taylor won. Great contest!!!

I'm not a big fan of any of them so I was just as happy with her winning as any of the others.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I'm a huge fan of Rachel Vincent. Thanks for the chance to win her book! :0)

Lady Gaga is the only album out of those that I own so The Fame is what I preferred.

ReplyDeleteI think Lady Gaga should have won. Of course I have a lot of other bands I wish would've been nominated. I hate that it's the same music and nominees over and over again.
*sigh*

What a hard question! I would probably have preferred Beyonce to win, but Taylor is good too :) I'd love to enter the contest!

I love taylor, so yes I do agree with it.
ReplyDeleteI like Taylor Swift so I am ok with the win. But I would not have been sad if Lady Gaga had won either.

Black Eyed Peas--hell no
ReplyDeleteBeyonce--perhaps
Lady Gaga--it was quite good so I might have to agree with that...
Taylor--h to the no. her album was decent but lacked presence needed to last.
Dave Matthews Band--didn't even hear it sadly enough.
